I’m looking forward to appearing as part of the very popular Ludlow Lecture series to talk about the women of the Wars of the Roses - Cecily Neville, Marguerite of Anjou, Elizabeth Woodville and Margaret Beaufort. And I’ll be talking about Cecily’s connections with Ludlow - its town, castle and church. This is the site where Cecily faced down a Lancastrian army alone - and became a prisoner of the king.
