RICHARD’S WOMEN
Whilst accounts of Richard’s life are dominated by the men of his time, his life was no less shaped by the women of his world.
Powerfully political, often ruthlessly determined, their actions and ambitions shaped his character, determined his fate and – in so many ways – established his damnable reputation.
In this talk, acclaimed novelist Annie Garthwaite – author of Cecily and The King's Mother – reveals the untold story of the women who loved Richard, the women who feared him and the women who brought him down.
Doors open at 630pm and refreshments will be provided after the talk. Books on sale.
Details and tickets here.
This event is part of a three-week festival to mark the 10th anniversary of the burial of Richard III at Leicester Cathedral in 2015. View the full festival programme here.
